Detection of the Border between West and East Europe by using Mental Maps

The bachelor´s thesis deals with the topics of European duality and the subconscious perception of this phenomen by students of geography from selected European coutries. The aim of the thesis is to discover, where respondents, in the most cases university student of geography, from selected European countries define the border of duality by using mental maps. Another goal is the subsequent comparison of individual national perspectives. The research is focused mainly on Central European countries, of which the survey took place in Austria, Czechia, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary. Part of the research took place before of the creation of this bachelor´s thesis and the author of this research RNDr. et PhDr. Aleš Nováček, Ph. D. provided data for this thesis. Another part of the research is a part of this thesis. Results are analysed in the analytical and synthetic part. In the analytical part of the thesis is a space for individual national views separately, in the synthetic part are then compared national views and the similarities and differences between nationals views are identified and interpreted.
Exercises developing the space reasoning

Bachelor thesis is focused on exercises for development of spatial imagination. Concepts that are connected with spatial imagination are described in my thesis. For example, the ability for space perception or the imagination itself. For the help of spatial imagination development are mentioned a few aids. The thesis contains a recherche of elementary curriculum and high school curriculum, a recherche of didactic entrance's exams and maturita exams and information about tests of spatial imagination. The bachelor thesis ends with an excercise which serve for the spatial imagination development.
Motivation of the youth to holistic architecture and work with a space

The main topic of this thesis is architecture and environment, which we live in. Architecture and also other related issues are based on the holistic perspective. A possible view of the use of motivation in pedagogical field is offered by an alternative approach. We will learn about terms related to healthy living, Feng Shui, traditional buildings, etc. We will characterize the styles of art of the 19th and 20th century. The positive way of thinking can serve as a recipe for a proper ?sketch? of the future. In the practical part of the thesis we will learn about opinions and the amount of knowledge of architecture and space which secondary school students possess. The results were compared between a secondary medical school and a secondary school of civil engineering .
